In 1936 I first wrote science fiction. It was a long-winded attempt at writing an endless novel...which died. I remember one sentence "Whole forests stood sere and brown in midsummer".
We have not given science too big a place in our education, but we have made a perilous mistake in giving it too great a preponderance in method in every other branch of study.
