Maya the Hoopoe Queen

Maya Quoteborn of the House Hoopoe, First of Her Name, the Unquotable, Queen of the Quotation Marks and the First Cite, Ruler of the Great Quote Collection, Breaker of Occasions and Mother of Movie Quotes.

As a member of The Royal House of Hoopoe, Maya wears a pendant depicting a silver hoopoe, the family emblem. Far from being just another stereotypical damsel-in-distress princess who needs a hero to save her, she is a calm, resolute intellectual. Although having been trained as a scientist and not a warrior, she is quite capable of protecting herself.

Maya’s ancestral line dates back to King Solomon's times. It was King Solomon himself who crowned Maya’s grand-grand-grandfather, Flowery, after he helped King Solomon survive on one of his journeys across the desert. Ever since, The Royal Hoopoe Family wears a gift from King Solomon – The Silver Hoopoe Pendant.

Maya likes to think she can bring order out of chaos, but finds that a little chaos... and imagination... are not quite as debilitating as she had believed. She teaches hoopoes the importance of teamwork. Moreover, she is strong fighter for gender equality. Here own motto is "equal among equals".

While she cares for all of hoopoes the same, she may be showing a bit more affection towards one of her subjects in particular…

Maya is also an active blogger. You can find her articles at Wordpress.
